My background
My name is Melanie Lord. I am committed to providing a high standard of Speech and Language therapy, drawing on over 18 years experience working with adults in a range of NHS/ rehabilitation settings.
I keep up to date with the most effective interventions through membership of professional interest groups, attendance at conferences and regular peer clinical supervision.
Comprehensive services offered
I have particular expertise in communication difficulties due to stroke/brain injury.
I work in partnership with people and their families to assess, differentially diagnose and provide bespoke treatment for communication difficulties such as aphasia, dysarthria, apraxia of speech, voice and cognitive communication difficulties.
Therapy programmes will be individually tailored according to your goals and the most effective approach to achieve these and improve quality of life.

Session lasts 1 to 2 hours and a report to follow is included
Follow up/Therapy sessions

Standard sessions last 1 hour. Fees include time spent by the Therapist, planning, preparing resources, liaising with other professionals and documenting direct and indirect activities.
